FAQ
- Q. How much power can the control box supply to the lights?
- A. It depends on the power supply used and the fuses that are installed. The power supply current should be limited to 4A which translates to a pair of 2 Amp fuses one for each output.
- Q. What kind of power supplies can be used?
- A. Any non-linear lighting supplies will work. They are light weight, efficient and well protected.
- Q. How long can the bell wire run extend?
- A. 50 feet with 22 gauge. (--MORE TO COME--) 12 vdc kits can have runs extended by increasing the wire to 20 gauge. If very long runs are required, or an interface with industrial electronics, choose the 24 volt version.
- Q. How much current do the indicators draw?
- A. The LED fixtures we offer draw in the 200mA to 500mA range. The outdoor LED fixtures are very bright and will draw 500mA. For indoor use, conventional incandescent lights can draw up to 500mA as well for this purpose.
- Q. Can I parallel 2 lights to one output?
- A. Not recommended. It wont hurt anything but its not good practice. If three or more indictors are needed a relay can be employed to add output capacity to any number of locations. Chechk the options in the store for future additions.
